Talk of the Town – Dragonfly Club KL
Clubbers rejoice! Paving its way to becoming THE club in town is none other than Dragonfly Club, promises to provide a whole new clubbing experience with its brand-new concept and theme – “Stunning Stage”. Expect Superstar Shows, Artist Appearances, 7 pieces Live Band, as well as a double dragon experience with the club’s resident DJ, spinning you Retro/R&B/Top 40’s and fantastic shows.
The club has recently invited popular Hong Kong star William So for a live performance where he belted some of his best hits for more than 300 appreciative clubbers. Apart from So, DJ Max Glazer has also performed at the dance club recently. He has deejayed parties for Missy Elliot, 50 Cent, and was the music director and tour DJ for Rihanna.
Not forgetting Hong Kong artistes Ron Ng Cheuk Hei and Chi Lam who have also just performed at Dragonfly Club more recently.
With a total of 16,000 square feet of space, Dragonfly club is able to house a maximum capacity of 2,500 patrons. The main entrance to Dragonfly Club will feature a state-of-the-art LED giant signboard portraying the Dragonfly logo which consists of 2 flying dragons. Apart from the attractive main entrance, there will also be a special LED tunnel to ‘transport’ guests to the inner part of the club. The stage is at least 40 feet in length from left to right and approximately 20 feet deep from front to back. The DJ console sits at about 15 feet above the floor of the stage with 2 podiums to the left and right that will show off cages for special dance shows held at the club in future. Aiming to be KL’s next ‘in-thing’ in terms of nightlife entertainment, the club’s highlighted features of the club would be the Stage and the Dance Floor, due to the immense “State of Art, Sound & Lighting Technology”.
Formerly known as the Orange Club, Dragonfly Club now consists of a ground floor with three island VIP sections and two gigantic bars (each measuring at least 20 feet in length) after a massive renovation.
The club nights at Dragonfly Kuala Lumpur will be spinning R&B & Retro and the famous Top 40’s Cantonese/Mandarin & English hits most of the time. There are also special event nights where the music will go accordingly to the theme for the night. With some of the well-known DJs in KL as residents, there is no surprise why Dragonfly’s mission is to be the next talk of the town.
Open seven days a week, from 8pm to 3am. To catch the Daily Live Band performance by a seven-piece outfit Crossfire, come by 10:30pm onwards. Cover charge applies at RM40 with not one, but two complimentary drinks from the bar.
